Stable and harmonised communities traditionally contribute to the creation of a strongly woven fabric called “society”.
The definition of “community” is evolving into new identities and forms - sometimes not recognisable to those outside of it - that moves fluidly as the ingredients of what makes up society grows and changes.
Social science has many ideas as to how and what social change is. Factors like changes in demographics , new technologies and inventions, environment, (ageing population, human migration, ), technologies and inventions, disparity of economy and wealth, even climate change, affects society in terms of social change. The question marks that hang over the many issues of concern - economic stability, pensions, health/social care and general wellbeing could have resolutions lying within this structure called “community.”
